Moringa oleifera, also known as Moringa, is a multi-purpose, fast-growing, drought-resistant tree that can be grown in a variety of poor soils and with very little care. Originally from the Kerala state of India, it has spread from the Indian sub-continent throughout the tropical and sub-tropical world. The Moringa tree is very high in protein, packed with essential vitamins and antioxidants, and contains all of the essential amino acids, which is unusual for any plant source. Thus, it is known by some as nature’s Miracle Tree.
