First of all, let me start with the level of impact on the Santrokofi Community Level:

Even though the moringa project has not been in existence in the Santrokofi communities for a long, many of the community memebers are testifying about the positive changes it has brought into their lives

  • Employment: People in this community  have no any alternative source of imcome apart from stable food farming like rice and cassava. This project has created stable employment for 3 men and 20 women famers who daily work on the farm by plucking and processing the leaves to powder. These workers received wages at the end of the month, and these funds are used to cater for their families
  • Small Businesses: This project has also craeted small trading businesses for some women in the community by selling the moringa in the community markets.  The leaf powder is given to the women to go to the traders. The income generated by the traders is used to support their families and also their children’s education
  • Malnutrition and Health: Since the introduction of moringa and its health benefits in the communities, many inhabitants of Santrokofi communities especially women and children have seen their health status improved over the few months. The minor aliments among children due malnutrition that make them visit the clinic frequently has become a thing of the past. The moringa has brought a great relief to the aged in the community who are very poor and can’t afford to buy medicines. By the use of moringa many of these old people have seen their strength been renewed day by day
