  1. Thank you for featuring my article/column. Just to clarify, I was talking about my 84-year old mother who is in her third year of teaching pre-schoolers outside our subdivision. Our family subsidizes the pre-school, which is located at the foyer of our home. To teach the parents about self-help, we decided to encourage them to plant moringa or “malunggay.” In the absence of nutritious food, the moringa is seen as a very good supplement or substitute. My mother;s name is Liliosa Genova Valiente. She is very happy to hear about the mention of our project. We believe we are also empowering women and senior citizens given her main participation in the project. This project is in Naga, Philippines
