Micro-Credit Programs in Ghana Grow Moringa

A recent reporting from the Ghana News Agency revealed news about efforts of the Sissala Literacy and Development Programme (SILDEP) and Plan Ghana to address the growing battle against hunger. The Agency claims that due to the excessive flooding in the area, a lot of food resources have been demolished, and thus micro-credit programs have been established to regrow the lost food resources. Executive Director of the SILDEP quoted,

“Plans are far advanced to support women with micro credit to cultivate 50 acres of moringa and 50 acres of soybeans for household consumptions” and continues to elaborate his ten year plan titled “Mitigating Rural Poverty through Literacy and Skills Development.”
