Moringa Nutrition

According to nutritional analyses, Moringa leaves are abundant with vital, disease-preventing nutrients. The nutritional contents of these leaves may vary depending on location, soil conditions, and seasons, but both the fresh and dried leaves generally have more nourishment than common foods, such as carrots and bananas.

The Senegalese organization Alternative Action for African Development has documented the Moringa tree’s value as a sustainable solution to malnutrition, especially among infants and women. The Moringa leaf powder has treated malnutrition for many years in places where malnutrition was a major problem, like in southwestern Senegal. As a result, children maintained or increased their weight and improved their overall health, pregnant women recovered from anemia and had babies with higher birth weights, and breast-feeding women increased their production of milk.
