Palawan’s Healing Man

The Inquirer.net recently reported a story about a mystical Palawan man who has made his living curing and helping people with their life. He has become a local celebrity that has attracted tour buses. “These days, many find their way to Lawiswis. Even tourist buses crowd his gate as he extols the malunggay (moringa), camote (sweet potato) tops, saluyot and another pièce de résistance, his tuba vinegar elixir.” His magical herbal elixirs have saved the lives of many including Elizabeth Jover Dama, from the Provincial Governor’s Office who was diagnosed with cancer.
